The Lions have signed QB Joshua Dobbs to their practice squad, according to Mike Klis.
In 2017, Dobbs was drafted by the Steelers in the fourth round. He was in the third year of his rookie contract when the Steelers traded him to the Jaguars for a fifth-round pick in 2020.
In September of last year, Jacksonville waived Dobbs and he was quickly claimed by the Steelers and re-signed for a one-year contract in 2021. Dobbs signed with the Browns back in April and was released last week to make room for Deshaun Watson.
In his career, Dobbs has appeared in six games for the Steelers and has completed 10 of 17 pass attempts (58.8 percent) for 45 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception along with six rushing attempts for 31 yards (5.2 YPC).
