For a while, the Philadelphia Eagles will be without a key piece of their offense.
NFL Network Insiders Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday that tight end Dallas Goedert will miss extended time with a shoulder injury sustained during Monday night’s loss to the Washington Commanders.
Garafolo and Pelissero do not expect Goedert’s shoulder injury to end his season.
During a missed penalty, the tight end was ripped down by the facemask on a catch.
It is the absence of Goedert that wipes out a big chunk of the Eagles’ passing offensive. The tight end ranks second on the team in yardage with 544 yards and third in catches with 43 to go along with three touchdowns.
Tyree Jackson, who returned from the PUP list after last season’s ACL tear, could also play a significant role if he recovers from his injury.
