During tonight’s NFL kickoff from Mexico City, Colt McCoy will make his second consecutive start for the Arizona Cardinals.
As Kyler Murray continues to deal with a hamstring injury, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday morning that McCoy appears set to start against the San Francisco 49ers.
After getting limited practice reps, Murray would miss his second straight game.
McCoy also missed practice early in the week due to a knee injury, but is fine and wasn’t listed on the final injury report.
With 26-of-27 passes for 238 yards and a touchdown last week against the Matthew Stafford-less Los Angeles Rams, the 36-year-old QB led a steady offense. The offense will be ready to use its weapons in Mexico City on Monday night, however, against one of the NFL’s top defenses.
