During the next four weeks, the Kansas City Chiefs will be without one of their big-play wide receivers.
Mecole Hardman was placed on injured reserve on Thursday after suffering an abdomen injury in Sunday’s win over the Jaguars.
Hardman could return to game action in Week 15 against the Houston Texans.
In eight games (five starts) this season, Hardman has 25 catches for 297 yards and four touchdowns. He has also returned six punts and scored twice on the ground.
The Chiefs might be shorthanded at receiver this weekend against the Chargers. JuJu Smith-Schuster suffered a concussion against Jacksonville and is still in the league’s concussion protocol. Marquez Valdes-Scantling (illness) has also missed practice this week but may be cleared to play Sunday.
In Week 2, Hardman had three catches for 49 yards as the Chiefs defeated the Chargers 27-24.
