A major NFL offseason event is just around the corner. The 2022 NFL Draft starts Thursday, April 28, and concludes Saturday, April 30.
Seven rounds of the NFL Draft take place over a period of three days. The first round begins at 8 p.m. ET on April 28 and ends with the 32nd overall pick. The second and third rounds will take place on Friday, April 29, followed by rounds four through seven on April 30.
In the second round, which starts at 7 p.m. ET on April 29, the fourth round will begin at noon ET on the third and final day of the draft.
In this year’s NFL draft, there will be 262 picks. The Jacksonville Jaguars hold the No. 1 overall pick for the second consecutive year.
Trevor Lawrence became the sixth quarterback to be selected first overall in seven years when Jacksonville selected him in 2021.
In this year’s draft, Michigan edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson and Georgia defensive lineman Travon Walker are the leading contenders.
In the first round, the Detroit Lions have the second and final pick. The New York Giants and New York Jets each have two top-10 picks.
After the third round, the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams will make their selection at the 104th overall pick.
