Lamar Jackson’s

What was the Lamar Jackson’s 40 Time?

Posted on October 11, 2022October 11, 2022 by NFL11 Team

He won the Most Valuable Player award in only his second year in the NFL. Jackson’s ability to run and throw the ball effectively made him one of the most successful dual-threat quarterbacks of all time.

However, many NFL fans do not know what Lamar Jackson’s forty time is because he did not run it at the NFL combine.

Lamar Jackson ran a 4.34 second 40-yard dash at a Louisville Pro Day in 2017, despite not attending the NFL combine.

It is important to note that this may not be the most accurate measurement of this player’s speed. The best place to measure a player’s 40 time is at the NFL combine.

Jackson was one of the most successful dual-threat quarterbacks in recent memory, winning the Most Valuable

In many cases, coaches and assistants use hand timers during pro days to measure a player’s speed.

Hand timing the forty-yard dash is quite unreliable because there are such narrow margins. A quarter second of human reaction time will have a significant impact on players’ forty times.

Additionally, Lamar Jackson himself admitted that he had turf toe when he ran the forty yard dash.

Unless Lamar runs the forty on his own accord, we will never know what his accurate time is. If he were one hundred percent healthy, he would have been able to run a faster forty than the 4.34 he was timed at.

Lamar Jackson Height And Weight

The height of Lamar Jackson is six feet and two inches, which is a pretty typical size for a quarterback.

Lamar would benefit from a few more inches at the quarterback position, but there have been plenty of successful quarterbacks who are six feet two or shorter.

For a quarterback, Lamar Jackson weighs two hundred and two pounds, or eighty-four kilograms.

To maintain the speed he often uses for rushing the ball, Lamar needs to stay light in order to gain more weight.

Hand Size

The NFL measures hand size by stretching the fingers and measuring the distance between the tips of the pinky and the tip of the thumb. Lamar Jackson’s hand size is 9.5 inches.

The average hand size of quarterbacks selected in the first round over the last ten years has been 9.7 inches.

As a result, Lamar Jackson’s hands are slightly smaller than the average quarterback’s hands. By comparison, Tom Brady’s hands measure nine and a half inches and he is widely considered to be the greatest quarterback in history.

It was Joe Burrow’s nine-inch hands that largely ended hand size debates among quarterbacks.

You can compare the speed of these quarterbacks by comparing Lamar Jackson’s 40 with Josh Allen’s 40 or Russel Wilson’s 40.
